I wanted to tell you how violet is doing.
Sh says a lot of words.
How can I teach violet how to say new word like a surtin found?
How can we practice?
thanks for everything.
just talk to her. It's not about "teaching" her new words per se, the more you communicate with her, and the more you use words to describe things, the more she will learn. It is a natural process..
That is good.z.
Thanks for telling me.
How old is your daughter? ?
Don't push it, I found the more I try to get him to say a word the correct way, he will just avoid it all together. All kids learn at there own pace. She is doing fine, hugs.
Ask yourself how many kidlets up through age six or seven still say basgheti and other mispronunciations.
One danger in parenting is this really microscopic paranoid view that would only make the schizophrenic proud.
Seriously, my daughter is 17 now and hasn't said basghetti for spaghetti, gemmer for bedroom, lellow for yellow, or spoken only in the third person in a lot of years.
I think this is an ill of parents of the fairer persuasion more often than not, at least in the Western World. That leaves someone in your situation a bit vulnerable. I saw it with the wife and others, still happens even though the kids are teens.
Only now to my mind the moms who do this are indistinguishable from their teenage charges, and are on their way to being surpassed.
On the other hand, I agree with SugarBaby: just talk to her like you would anyone else, and if she gets it wrong you can always explain it. In particular once you find out she's trying to communicate something, you can use the words to communicate it. More often than not they're just waiting to find out anyway, and then like the rest of us with everything else, it just takes practice.
Yah that is true.
I already are hard for her to say like the letter l is hard for her.
but she does good.
how many of you parents have made aor done a book of memories of your children?
I am doing a book for my daughter and it is working out pretty good.
I forget some times to do it but it is all good.
this is little foot.
My daughter is growing her back teeth are growing and it is a pain in the but.
I wish that they will grow a little bit faster but i know it takes time.
Yes I do put oragell on her gums when they hurt her.
I would like to ask any one who has a one yer old that walks now?
What kind of toys do you have to play with your kids out side?
I am gone get a beach ball on the first that will be a lot of fun.
right now we play with a frisbey out side and also a ball that is small that has a bell.
But we want a bigger ball that is why.
That will be fun.
What types of food does your child dislike eating?
My daughter hates unions and I can't remember what else she doesn't like.
How are some of your children if you guys don't mind answer?
My daughter is one years old.
She will be 2 on Aprail 19 2010.
Hope to here from you all. If you want to talk you can post on here and send me emails if you want at babybuffalovanessuevega@gmail.com
thanks
I am not so happy because my great grandma passed away.
I am mad at my dad for not taking me this weekend over there and violet is doing good.
I am so sad.
I have recordings of her and they are vedoes of her.
that is all I have of her not even a picture of her.
I hope to get a picture copy of my grandma great grandma from my grandma.
hope that you guys understand.
I wonder why now one is posting on my board about my daughter.
I would hope so
I wonder why the parents are not responding me on my boards that I have about on here.
In response to your questions, My daughter is almost 17 months old. for play outside, she has a ball, a swing, a sandbox, and a ride-on car. And I take her to a playgroup once a week so she can play with other kids, and it has slides and things to climb on and in and through, as well as an area for the kids to do art and craft.
As for what she does and doesn't like eating, so far she eats almost anything. and if she refuses to eat something one day, she will more than likely eat it another day, just depends on how she feels I guess
There are no pickier eaters than teenagers.
hahahahahha I have to agree there. I don't have a teenager yet, but know plenty of them.
I know don't want her to be a teen cause I know how they act.
but I guess that is part of life.
My daughter is gone get pody train next month. I want to get her a toilet of elmo. She takes off her dippers now so I know that she is rady. She also knows how to say p p and ca ca that means poop.
Still has not grown her teeth in the back yet.
I can't wate until that happens so that i do not have to cut her food at lead I think not her food like her hot dogs.
Do I still have to cut up her food when she gets her back teeth?
How old were if you remember your children when they got pody trained. I know that they learn at there own rate that is for sure.
I am about to start pody training
I hope that i all goes well goes right.
who has been successful in doing it. and how long did it take for the process.
You can read a lot on it. Sometimes up to a year, it's quite a process.
I'm not completely sure, my daughter isn't quite at that stage yet, but I know quite a lot of kids, and have watched them through it.
I think a lot of it has to do with the child, and the stage they are up to physically and mentally. some kids get the hang of it within days, some weeks, some months.
I'm getting my daughter used to the potty now, (she is 17 months), she isn't mentally ready for it yet. but I'm getting her used to sitting on it, sitting still, and continue to talk to her about it and what it is for while she sits there.
I know this was pretty long with probably useless info, but anyway...hope it helps even a little
It does hull and that is good that you tell me this so that I can learn.
I would like to know how old are the children that you parents have?

potty training can be challenging. i potty trained two kids. at the time, my day care provider said the following that makes sense. if the child is ready, and he has an accident, tell him to change his clothes. once he goes through all that hassle a couple times, he or she realizes that going in the pottie is easier.
Hi there.
My son is 8 so it's been a while since we had to deal with the baby stuff. I'll try to remember what I can right off the top of my head.
Food: Yes, you'll still want to cut up your daughter's food for quite some time. I think my son started learning to cut his own food around age 5 or 6.
Regarding what he does or doesn't like to eat, he went through a very picky stage from about age 2 through 6. Dinner time was a battle. He's growing into a bettter apetite now though. I found that the Love and Logic method taught by Jim Faye and Foster Cline worked very well for food issues.
Outside toys? We had a play fort built in our back yard when my son was 2 and a half. He loved it! He really liked playing in the sand. I think that noisy toys are the best for outside so the kiddo can have a little freedom, in a safe area of course, and mommy can still keep up with where the kiddo is and what he or she is doing. I'd keep it simple, cups and spoons for digging in sand or dirt always seem to amuse kids. Now that summer is coming up, there's always the fun of the water sprinkler.
I'm not even going to try to tackle potty training because boys and girls are so different when it comes to that. Since I have a boy, I'll leave it to those with girls to give advice.
domestic goddess, have you ever done the following? One time i had a dinner party. i was serving the plates. i believe we were having turkey. sudenly i realized i was cutting up everybody's not just my kids meat in to teeney weeney little pieces. Talk about embarrassing!!!!!
